Amazing food! I honestly have never had a bad experience with Hing Wah with their excellent service and overall quality. The inside of the restaurant is very barebones, the menu and a few tables to sit down, but the food is way better than it may appear. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for good local chinese.
I have no pictures because I've eaten it all. This is our favorite Asian cuisine in the area. It is the best, and usually never takes more than 15-20min. It makes it even better that the woman running the front (same every time) is SO kind and seems just genuinely grateful for the business. Our favorite dish is the house special lo mein, spicy. I will warn you spicy means spicy here!
Best Hot n Sour soup I have ever had! You can tell it doesn't sit in a pot all day! The veggies and meat have a bite to them rather than mush. And is an awesome blend of spicy and hearty soup. Ps- you can adjust the spiceness.get the crab rangoon. Sweet and sour chicken beef and broccoli, st. Paul sando, hot braised chicken etc. I have to play rock, paper, scissors when i get a cravibg. Oh there egg drop soup is fresh and bomb too!
Very good very clean very friendly I can say that it is the place of choice in wood river for good Asian food. Never have any issues with ordering or picking up our food.
I was very pleased with my black pepper chicken. It was very spicy, tasted great, and the portion size was perfect for the price paid! You definitely get a lot of food for your money here. Even better, the owner is super friendly and will go out of her way to help you order. I was very impressed overall, and would certainly come back here.
This place has changed owners a couple of times. The new owners are doing a great job. The food is pretty close to the way it was when the original owners were there. The food is really good, and the prices are really reasonable. It is also ready really fast! This location is definitely open, as of 6/30/20. Don't know why people said it was closed.
We really enjoy this place and they take cards now. I love their St.Paul sandwich, lo mein, and crab Rangoon.
1. Bring cash, they don't take check or debit cards! 3. Be prepared for the best Chinese in the greater STL area. It's amazing and the owners are sweet as pie. The love they put into this place comes out in the flavor.
